Purpose and scope
Gmail Daily Digest is a private, non-commercial workflow used by its owner to review email from Google accounts the owner explicitly authorizes. It is not offered to the public.
Google data accessed
The application requests the Gmail read-only scope. It may access message headers, message bodies, attachment metadata, labels, and mailbox metadata needed to identify and summarize relevant email. It does not request permission to send, modify, delete, archive, label, or mark messages as read.
How data is used
Authorized Gmail data is used only to generate the account owner's requested digest: items requiring action, items to know, updates being awaited, and low-priority mail. Relevant message content is supplied to the AI service running the workflow solely to generate that digest, subject to the data controls of the owner's OpenAI account or workspace.
Storage and retention
- Google OAuth tokens are stored in the owner's macOS Keychain and are not included in model prompts.
- Digest reports and minimal processing state, such as message identifiers and time cursors, are stored locally on the owner's computer.
- Temporary raw email exports are deleted after each processing run.
Sharing
Gmail data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers. It is disclosed only to service providers required to operate the owner-requested workflow, including Google for Gmail access and OpenAI for generating the digest, under their applicable terms and the owner's account settings.
Security
Access is limited to explicitly authorized accounts. Local credentials and working files use operating-system access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but the workflow minimizes access and retained data.
Controls and deletion
The owner can revoke access at any time from the Google Account connections page. The owner can also delete local digests and processing state. Questions or deletion requests may be sent to dyjofficial@gmail.com.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Gmail Daily Digest's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If the workflow's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practices are used.
